Job Description

A Repairs & Maintenance Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that all repair and maintenance activities within an organization are conducted efficiently and effectively. This role involves overseeing the maintenance operations, coordinating with various departments to ensure that any repair needs are promptly addressed, and ensuring that maintenance staff are well-trained and equipped to handle the tasks at hand. The Repairs & Maintenance Manager is also responsible for developing maintenance protocols, leading preventive maintenance programs, and ensuring that all activities comply with safety standards and regulations. This position requires excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep technical understanding of repair and maintenance processes. The ability to work under pressure and manage a variety of tasks simultaneously is crucial for success in this role.


Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate all repair and maintenance activities within the facility.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of maintenance technicians effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards at all times.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify repair needs promptly.
  • Coordinate with vendors for the timely procurement of parts and equipment.
  • Prepare and manage the maintenance department budget efficiently.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot complex maintenance issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
  • Develop and implement a maintenance strategy aligned with company goals.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and recommend improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a maintenance supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, repair techniques, and maintenance protocols.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills within a technical environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with team members and senior management.
  • Proficiency with maintenance management software and record-keeping tools.
