Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Financial Assistant to support the financial operations of a multi-entity organization. In this role, you will manage profit and loss statements for various departments, categorize expenses across different business units, and ensure accurate financial tracking using spreadsheets and software such as QuickBooks, Tradeshift, and Jabi. You will also monitor bank deposits and collaborate directly with company leadership to establish clear financial processes, transitioning from consolidated reporting to departmental-specific management.


Job Highlights


Hourly Rate: The equivalent of $6.94 USD per hour in the applicant’s local currency

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 4 hours a day flexible within 11am to 5pm Eastern

Work Arrangement: Work from home

Contract: Independent Contractor


Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

Responsibilities


  • Create and maintain profit and loss statements for multiple business departments
  • Organize and allocate expenses across different company entities to establish clear departmental financial separation
  • Work with spreadsheets to track and categorize financial data
  • Process expense reports through Tradeshift software system
  • Review and reconcile revenue reports from Jabi system
  • Monitor bank deposits through view-only access to Wells Fargo accounts for deposit confirmation
  • Collaborate directly with company leadership to establish and refine financial processes
  • Support the transition from consolidated expense tracking to departmental-specific financial management


Requirements

  • Experience with bookkeeping and basic accounting principles
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet software and QuickBooks
  • Ability to learn and work with financial software systems (Tradeshift, Jabi)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry
  • Comfortable working independently while taking direction from leadership
  • Available to work within 11am-5pm Eastern Standard Time consistently
  • Reliable internet connection and home office setup for remote work
