Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Associate to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for supporting the purchasing manager in planning, directing, and coordinating the purchasing activities of the company. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our organization procures necessary materials, equipment, and services efficiently and cost-effectively. Responsibilities

  • Assist in purchasing materials, supplies, and equipment following company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve any potential issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery information.
  • Evaluate and analyze vendors to ensure optimal quality and pricing conditions.
  • Collaborate with different departments to understand and meet their purchasing needs.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure the best deals for the company.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs in coordination with inventory management.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and pricing fluctuations.
  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company purchasing policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Associate or in a similar procurement role is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management and purchasing strategies.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software applications.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess market conditions effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams smoothly.
