Job Description

The Mall Operations Assistant plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of a shopping mall. This position involves a variety of tasks focused on maintaining a high-quality environment for both tenants and customers. The Mall Operations Assistant supports the management team by helping to oversee daily operations, supervising maintenance work, attending to tenant and customer requests, and ensuring adherence to safety and security protocols. This position demands a proactive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively. The ideal candidate will be an organized individual who thrives in dynamic environments and has a customer-oriented mindset.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the day-to-day mall operations, including management of tenant requests.
  • Coordinate and oversee routine maintenance and repair tasks within the mall premises.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with mall safety and security protocols.
  • Support marketing and promotional activities to enhance mall visibility.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily operations and prepare necessary reports.
  • Collaborate with the cleaning staff to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Assist in coordinating tenant move-ins and move-outs, ensuring no disruptions.
  • Participate in emergency response and evacuation procedures when necessary.
  • Manage inventory of mall supplies and request replenishments as needed.
  • Liaise with vendors and contractors to coordinate service delivery within the mall.
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs to assess operational issues and address them promptly.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in mall operations or customer service is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail are essential.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to act quickly and efficiently in emergency situations.
