The Logistics Assistant plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of logistics operations. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with suppliers and transport companies to schedule pickups and deliveries.
  • Prepare and process shipping documents and packages for domestic and international shipments.
  • Monitor and track shipments to prevent delays and resolve logistical issues promptly.
  • Support the logistics team in planning and executing cost-effective transport strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve warehouse efficiency and operations.
  • Assist in conducting regular stock audits and cycle counts as required.
  • Utilize software to input data on shipments, inventory, and supplies for accurate reporting.
  • Generate logistics reports and provide insights to enhance operational processes.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures regarding shipments and storage.
  • Provide support to senior logistics staff and undertake clerical tasks as instructed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; advanced education in logistics is a plus.
  • Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management or a related field.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with great attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration.
  • Familiarity with logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite are highly desirable.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure efficiently.
  • Basic understanding of customs regulations and international shipping protocols.
