Job Role Summary/Overview

You will own day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliations, inventory costing, and financial reporting. This role requires strong QuickBooks expertise, experience managing landed costs and inventory-based COGS, and the ability to deliver clean, timely financial reports. You will work closely with leadership and external accountants to ensure compliance, accuracy, and financial clarity.


Job Highlights

  • Hourly Rate: USD 9, the equivalent in your local currency
  • Paid Hours per Week: 40 hours
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 am-6 pm, with 1 hour lunch break |Texas
  • Work Arrangement: Work from home
  • Contract: Independent Contractor

Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.


Responsibilities

  • Record and review all sales, expenses, deposits, and vendor bills in QuickBooks
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and payment processors
  • Track new and refurbished inventory, allocating freight, duties, tariffs, and refurb costs
  • Maintain accurate COGS tied to containers, projects, and inventory batches
  • Manage accounts receivable for large equipment invoices, deposits, and progress payments
  • Oversee accounts payable to vendors and freight partners
  • Complete month-end close and prepare P&L, balance sheet, and cash-flow reports
  • Provide margin analysis by product, project, and customer type
  • File sales tax reports and maintain exemption documentation
  • Coordinate with external CPA and enforce internal controls in QuickBooks


Requirements

  • Strong experience with QuickBooks (full-cycle bookkeeping)
  • Experience managing inventory, landed costs, and COGS
  • Understanding of AR/AP and cash-flow management
  • Experience producing monthly financial reports
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
