Who you are


You’re a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Control Analyst who enjoys owning the day-to-day mechanics of the collections processes, while also understanding how your work fits into the bigger financial picture. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, take pride in clean processes, and enjoy working closely with customers and internal teams to resolve issues and keep cash flowing. You’ll work closely with the Credit Control Lead to ensure accurate timely collections, and a great customer experience.


What you will do

  • Own the day-to-day collections activities, including cash application, resolving customer queries, following up overdue invoices, sending statements, setting up direct debit, reconciliations and account adjustments
  • Actively manage accounts receivable backlogs, ensuring issues are resolved quickly to allow for on time payments
  • Perform daily follow-ups on overdue invoices, identifying root causes and driving resolution through to payment
  • Respond to customer invoice enquiries with professionalism and a solutions-focused mindset
  • Support cash collection outcomes by maintaining strong customer relationships and disciplined follow-up
  • Investigate billing discrepancies and collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Customer Success, Finance) to resolve issues
  • Maintain accurate AR and customer records and contribute to reporting on aged debt and collection activity
  • Identify recurring issues or inefficiencies and proactively suggest process improvements


What you’ll need

  • At least 5 years of proven experience in a Credit Controller, Accounts Receivable, or Billing & Collections role
  • Strong understanding of how invoices are raised, applied, and reconciled
  • High attention to detail with a strong process and control mindset
  • Ability to manage high volumes of transactional work while maintaining accuracy
  • Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with customers about payments
  • Ability to think beyond individual transactions and understand the broader revenue and cash flow impact
  • Direct experience using AI tools in your day-to-day work, or a strong openness and eagerness to learn how to apply them to enhance outcomes


Some nice to have

  • Experience working with Sage, other ERPs, billing, or CRM systems
  • Exposure to SaaS, subscription, or technology-based billing models
  • Experience supporting process improvements or automation initiatives
  • Comfortable working with reporting, ageing analysis, or AR metrics
