Responsibilities

• Conduct and assist in a variety of cardiovascular diagnostic tests and procedures.
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate sophisticated cardiovascular equipment and machinery.
• Collaborate with cardiologists to interpret and analyze diagnostic test results accurately.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during all cardiovascular procedures and tests.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, adhering to ethical and legal standards.
• Prepare patients for cardiac diagnostic examinations, explaining procedures in understandable terms.
• Perform echocardiograms, stress tests, and electrocardiograms efficiently and accurately.
• Assist physicians in invasive procedures such as cardiac catheterization and angiography.
• Monitor patients' vitals and report any significant changes to the healthcare team promptly.
• Participate in the continuous education programs to stay updated with advancements in cardiac technologies.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare policies, procedures, and accreditation standards.
• Provide support and instruction to cardiac patients and their families post-procedure care.

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Technology or a related field is required.
• Certification from a recognized body such as CCI or ARDMS is preferred.
• Minimum of two years experience as a Cardiac Technologist in a clinical setting.
• Solid understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and hemodynamic principles.
• Proficiency with operating and troubleshooting advanced cardiac diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and the healthcare team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to maintain composure under pressure.
