Senior Manager Production Planning And Scheduling

Job Description

• Develop and maintain monthly and weekly production plans based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and plant capacity.
• Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, and SCM teams to align production schedules with customer requirements and delivery commitments.
• Monitor raw material availability, batch-wise planning, and ensure timely issuance of production orders.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (USFDA, WHO, etc.) in all planning activities, including documentation and traceability.
• Track WIP (Work in Progress) and finished goods inventory to avoid stockouts or overproduction.
• Collaborate with QA/QC, Manufacturing, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth execution of production plans.
• Analyze capacity utilization, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions for optimization.
• Generate and share MIS reports on production performance, delays, and forecast accuracy.
• Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation related to production planning.
  
  

• Education: B.Pharm / M.Sc / B.E. / B.Tech (Chemical)
• Experience: 15-20 years in API manufacturing (USFDA-approved facility preferred)
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of GMP, USFDA guidelines
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
• Soft Skills:
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
