The opportunity

Electrical designers focus on transformer component designs Bushing & Tap changer in coordination with global Hitachi Energy factory based on the marketing & purchase order requirement. Electrical Design of transformer component designs will be responsible for the Preparation of Customer documents, Manufacturing drawings, Bills of materials, etc.

• The successful candidate will be the part of an International Design and Engineering Team heavily specialized in transformer components design covering a US factory.
• Responsible for the design and development of power transformer components.
• Responsible for the Preparation of Customer documents, Manufacturing drawings, Bills of materials, etc.
• Coordinating his/her design activities within a worldwide factory network.
• Participation in internal design concept reviews.
• Influence specification at the tender and pre-tender stage, through conceptual discussions.
• Design as per Market and Sales Strategy to meet the market needs.

Your Background

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 4 – 8 years’ experience working in Electrical design for Bushings or Tap changers or related to power systems.
• Experience in Power Transformer engineering is an additional advantage.
• Experience with IEEE is an additional advantage.
• Understanding of Bushing or Tap Changer Design, Thermal and Dielectrics performances, short circuit forces, and other mechanical & electrical properties.
• Experience in FEA or software development would be advantageous.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and tools.
• Experience in Microsoft office and tools.
• Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.
