Job Highlights

The Senior Application Development Chemist at the Thane site leads new product and formulation development for the Flavors & Fragrances business to address customer needs and support regional growth. The role works closely with business and global R&D teams (US, Europe, India), mentors junior team members, and guides execution of application development projects. This position strengthens LANXESS’s innovation pipeline, laboratory capabilities, and technical service support for customers in India.

• Lead formulation and application development for customer needs and regional business growth in Flavors & Fragrancess
• Oversee analytical testing, stability evaluation, and generation of technical data for customer support and product development
• Drive new product development and localization of global formulations with global R&D teams (US, Europe, India)
• Guide customer sample preparation, application trials, evaluations, and mentor team member
• Guide customer sample preparation, application trials, evaluations, and mentor junior team member
• Maintain F&F lab capabilities, ensure compliance and safety, and provide strategic technical support to business and customers
  
  

Experience / Skills

• Specific Education Master’s/Ph.D degree in Chemistry / Applied Chemistry / Chemical Sciences(Polymers)
• Work Experience 6 to 10 Years
• Special Skills Experience in formulation, application development, or analytical testing, preferably in Flavors & Fragrances or specialty chemicals application/synthetic labs.Hands-on experience with laboratory techniques, sample preparation, data generation, and collaboration with business and global technical teams is preferred.Effective communication skills with team members and colleagues. Good English coomunication skills and proven ability to take direction and follow through with actions quickly to accomplish goals
