Location: Cambridge and South/Hybrid

To lead and develop the Serious Injury Department Cambridge and Southern Teams to meet the needs of our clients and deliver Fletchers’ strategies and plans for the Serious Injury Department

Main Responsibilities For The Role
- Strategy & Leadership
- Help develop and deliver the agreed strategy and plan for their teams.
- Support the budgeting process for the Department and agree budget targets for each of their teams.
- Provide inspirational leadership to the department including recruitment, motivation, training and supporting of all team leader and team members.
- Ensure the appropriate management and allocation of new work.
- Ensure that the team provides excellent client service.
- Ensure that the team achieves their agreed performance targets by using consistent and clear leadership in the management of individuals KPI’s.
- Ensure the progression of all cases in team up to the point of settlement.
- Budget
- Manage and deliver overall budget and targets for their teams.
- Manage the budget through the following measures –
- Production
- Fees
- Revenue
- EBITDA
- People Management
- Lead the Serios Injury Law department directly managing the Cambridge and South Team Leaders.
- Coach, develop and support Team Leaders to achieve excellent people leadership practice.
- Work with the People team to optimise the recruitment and retention of lawyers in the Serious Injury Law department.
- Role model Fletchers’ Values in leadership behaviours.
- Technical
- Provide advice and guidance on any departmental issues.
- Ensure departmental procedures are followed to ensure cases are progressed appropriately and client satisfaction is delivered.
- Work with internal and external partners to ensure the department delivers quality legal services with unrivalled client care in a compliant way.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience of successfully leading Legal Teams
- Experience of running a wide variety of Serious Injury claims
- Ability to deliver excellent client service.
- A good understanding of how to deliver and grow team productivity.
- Experience of coaching and supporting other lawyers and managers.
- Forming and maintaining positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to role model good practice leadership.
- Technology literate, with the ability to use technology to enhance legal services.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to form positive working relationships with a wide variety of team members.
- Strong analytical skills
