Transformation And Manufacturing Performance Leader

• As Transformation & Performance Leader, reporting directly to the Plant Head, you will be responsible for driving manufacturing transformation through digitalization, automation, process optimization, and global best-practice deployment. You will work closely with global stakeholders, manufacturing teams, digital technology teams, and functional leaders to identify and implement initiatives that improve productivity, cost competitiveness, quality, delivery, capacity, and overall plant performance.
• You will translate business challenges into actionable transformation initiatives, leveraging global expertise, digital technologies, data analytics, and automation solutions to enhance manufacturing processes and operational effectiveness.
• You will drive the transformation roadmap, ensure effective execution of initiatives, and track measurable business benefits while collaborating with existing Manufacturing, Lean, and Advanced Manufacturing teams. You will foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, Safety, Quality, and leadtime.
• Visualize and collaborate with leadership team to transform Sanand Facility into a modern, digital Smart Factory.

 

        1. Factory Performance Management

·        Establish and lead a structured factory performance monitoring through Digital Tools and Dashboards and review process covering key operational and business KPIs.

·        Use Real Time Data to Monitor performance trends, identify gaps against targets, highlight risks, and drive timely corrective actions with functional leaders.

• Partner with Production, Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering  and Project teams to develop and implement targeted improvement initiatives that deliver measurable operational and financial benefits.
• Partner with Operational Excellence/ Lean teams to establish a culture of continuous improvement, ownership, and accountability by embedding standard work, visual management, performance tracking, and best practices across manufacturing operations.

·        Provide the Plant Head with actionable insights on factory performance, key improvement priorities, and progress against business objectives.

·        Link operational performance gaps to improvement initiatives and ensure sustained results.

       

       2. Transformation Portfolio & Business Impact

·        Lead the identification, prioritization, and execution of major factory transformation projects aligned with business priorities.

·        Develop and maintain a transformation roadmap with defined objectives, milestones, responsibilities, investments, and expected benefits.

·        Ensure that each major transformation project addresses a specific factory performance gap and delivers measurable operational or financial improvements.

·        Coordinate cross-functional teams, remove implementation barriers, manage project interdependencies, and ensure timely execution.

·        Track and validate project benefits in collaboration with Finance and functional owners, ensuring sustainability of results.

·        Report transformation progress, risks, realized benefits, and support requirements to the Plant Head.

·        Collaborate with External Experts and Consultants in driving major transformation projects

 

       3. Manufacturing Transformation, Digitalization & Automation

·        Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, productivity, throughput, quality, lead time, and cost competitiveness.

·        Drive digitalization and automation initiatives in collaboration with global digital, IT/OT, manufacturing, and Advanced Manufacturing teams.

·        Leverage global technologies, best practices, data analytics, and Industry 4.0 solutions to address plant performance challenges.

·        Develop business cases and prioritize initiatives based on operational impact, feasibility, investment, and return on investment.

·        Work in partnership with existing Manufacturing, Lean, and Advanced Manufacturing leaders, leveraging their expertise and ensuring alignment with ongoing initiatives.

Facilitate the deployment and scaling of successful solutions across the plant and global manufacturing network.

       4. Global Stakeholder Management & Change Leadership

·        Act as a key interface between the plant and global stakeholders for manufacturing transformation, digitalization, automation, and performance improvement.

·        Identify and adapt global best practices and proven solutions to meet plant-specific business requirements.

·        Drive cross-functional alignment, stakeholder engagement, and change management to ensure successful implementation and adoption.

·        Promote a data-driven, performance-oriented culture focused on accountability, innovation, Safety, Quality, and Leadtime.

     

       Key Performance Indicators

·        Factory performance against agreed operational and business targets.

·        Delivery of the transformation roadmap and major project milestones.

·        Validated financial benefits and sustained productivity improvements.

·        Improvement in manufacturing cost, lead time, quality, throughput, and capacity utilization.

·        Digitalization and automation project outcomes, adoption, and return on investment.

·        Timely closure of performance gaps and corrective actions.

 

        Basic Qualifications (Requirements)

·        Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Automation, or a related engineering discipline. A master's degree or MBA in Operations Management or PG in Data Analytics is preferred.

·        ~20+ years of experience in manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, operational transformation, digitalization, automation, or industrial operations, preferably in power-sector or heavy-engineering manufacturing.

·        Proven experience in driving cross-functional improvement initiatives and delivering measurable business results.

·        Good understanding of manufacturing processes, digital manufacturing technologies, industrial automation, and Industry 4.0 applications.

·        Experience working with global teams, technology partners, and cross-functional stakeholders.

·        Ability to develop business cases, evaluate investments, and measure financial and operational benefits.

·        Strong project management, analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.

·        Familiarity with ERP/SAP, manufacturing data analytics, digital dashboards, and project management tools is preferred.

·        A proactive, hands-on, and results-oriented mindset with the ability to convert business challenges into practical solutions.

·        Willingness to travel to global manufacturing locations and technology partners as required.
