Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute value engineering projects to reduce product costs while maintaining or improving functionality
• Analyze existing products and components in terms of cost, function, manufacturing/assembly and materials
• Collaborate with R&D, procurement, production, quality, and suppliers to optimize product value
• Ensure costing and bottom-up calculation for a variety of mechanical components like shafts, gears, housing etc.
• Product cost calculation and cost tracking to support the Quality Gate Process
• Design for Manufacturing & Design for Assembly
• Evaluate and approve design changes by four-eyes principle (Design & Value Engineering)

Qualification and Education Requirements:

• Bachelor/Master’s degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
  
  

Experience:

• 5-10 years of professional working experience
  
  

Preferred Skills / Special Skills:

• Professional in CNC Programming and Manufacturing Process Engineering
• Proficient in CAD systems, ERP systems and MS Office
• High level of independence/autonomous working with a structured and conceptional approach to work
• Enthusiastic to learn about new technology and enjoy working with international team members
