Infrastructure Quality Manager

Leadership Role in Optimizing Infrastructure Quality Excellence Across Towers

Position Summary

The Infrastructure Quality Manager is accountable for delivering and maintaining superior infrastructure quality across multiple towers. This leader will manage and coordinate leads from diverse infrastructure domains, ensuring unified standards and high performance. The role demands active participation and representation in incident meetings and Change (CHG) leadership forums, driving both preventative and transformative initiatives. A key focus will be on optimizing delivery processes, managing vendor relationships, and overseeing testing quality outcomes for Infrastructure and Info Security Changes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead infrastructure quality assurance across all towers and components, instilling best practices and robust testing methodologies.
  • Manage, mentor, and coordinate team leads to assure consistent quality and performance across local and offshore teams.
  • Represent infrastructure operations in incident and change management meetings, advocating for proactive risk mitigation, root cause analysis, and process improvement.
  • Collaborate with Application representatives and business stakeholders to ensure seamless User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Business Assurance, integrating automation and optimization.
  • Leverage ITIL and SDLC processes to drive change management, incident management, and problem management, safeguarding production stability and client impact.
  • Develop and maintain strategic roadmaps for infrastructure testing and support, acquiring and building out effective testing scripts and frameworks.
  • Assess potential risks and impacts, proactively developing solutions in partnership with IT and business teams.
  • Ensure all quality gates are met prior to go-live, maintaining operational readiness before start of business.
  • Optimize resource allocation, including vendor management and utilization of a 24x7, three-shift operations model.
  • Oversee daily operational activities and provide supervision for assigned personnel, including undertaking formal management duties.
  • Perform risk analysis to identify critical operations and systems essential for sustained business continuity during disruptions.
  • Evaluate design documentation, establish project timelines, and coordinate resources to ensure projects are completed punctually and within budget constraints.
  • Develop test strategies, define processes, drive continuous improvement initiatives, plan and manage testing cycles, facilitate resource identification and onboarding, prepare budget forecasts, resolve issues, provide coaching or mentoring for new teams, and deliver comprehensive status reports and test data preparation across all phases of testing.
  • Act as a key subject matter expert, offering mentorship and guidance to junior colleagues.
  • Continuously review and refine operational procedures, fostering innovation and efficiency across infrastructure domains.
  • Manages with data and metrics for decision making and monitoring team delivery

Required Qualifications/Skills

  • Technically sound in infrastructure domain, with broad knowledge of application and platform areas.
  • Minimum 14+ years of experience in infrastructure testing and operations, including management of distributed and offshore teams.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading meetings, facilitating discussions, and driving decisions in complex environments.
  • Proven history of successful testing methodology development and implementation.
  • Well-versed in the full SDLC, with hands-on experience in Agile and Waterfall methods.
  • Minimum 5 years of practical experience with the following tools/technologies:
    • ADO
    • SCOM Monitoring Tools
    • WEBLOGIC, JAVA
    • SharePoint
    • EXADATA (Databases)
    • WIN, LINUX/UNIX, AIX, SOLARIS
    • Control-M
    • Mainframe/AS400/DB2
    • Security tools (OAM, ARS, CISCO AMP, MMA-SCEP)
    • F5 Load Balancers, Checkpoint Firewalls, CISCO Switches & Routers
  • Ability to deliver work with minimal supervision in high-pressure, multi-stakeholder settings.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft tools including Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
  • Understanding of patching, upgrades, and deployment via DEVOPS pipelines (Dev/Test/UAT/Prod)
  • Application of ITIL service management and tools such as ServiceNow (incident, problem, change, release management)
  • Extensive knowledge of testing methodologies (manual, automated, performance, security) and tools (e.g., SNOW/ADO)
Desired Qualifications/Skills

  • Experience with tools and systems specific to Banking and Financial Services (SWIFT, IBM Mainframe, Financial Trade Transactions, Cash Management, etc.)
  • Familiarity with banking-specific technologies (MS SharePoint, Service Now, Project Management, Jira, Selenium, GIT, Test Automation Framework)
  • Relevant certifications in IT Quality Assurance, Risk Management, or Testing Methodologies
