Functional Description

• Functions may include data review, database table build, intake optimization, data modeling, Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) development, storage engineering, data warehousing, data provisioning and other similar roles. Responsibilities may include Platform-as-a-Service and Cloud solution with a focus on data stores and associated eco systems. Duties may include management of design services, providing sizing and configuration assistance, ensuring strict data quality, and performing needs assessments
• Analyzes current business practices, processes and procedures as well as identifying future business opportunities for leveraging data storage and retrieval system capabilities. Understand the potential architectural needs of different data types and define strategies for efficient and reliable data acquisition. May design schemas, write SQL or other data markup scripting and helps to support development of Analytics and Applications that build on top of data

• Applies data transformation based on understanding of data structures in place using common methods
• Designs scalable job scheduler solution and advises on appropriate tool/technology to use
• Understands all the connected technology services and their impacts
• Seeks to understand how customer will interact with system and how best to design solution from their perspective
• Demonstrates awareness of importance of security, scalability, reliability and feasibility in solution design
• Assesses design and proposes options to ensure solution meets business needs in terms of security, scalability, reliability and feasibility
• Collaborates with relevant stakeholders with tight follow up and follow through to achieve business outcomes
• Understands what interdependencies exist and operates within them;
• Effectively communicates with business stakeholders and technical team
• Identifies applicable security/data standards when reviewing requirements and recommends controls to ensure compliance and consistency
• Gathers facts and data to inform decision making and pro-actively identifies patterns in issues and researches root-cause to improve overall quality

• Transform data for accurate and reliable intake
• Improve data efficiency, reliability and quality
• Adhere to existing database conventions and data governance - security, quality, and compliance
• Provides operational analysis utilized for decision making. May make recommendations based on the analysis and provide explanations and information to others on difficult issues
• Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems. Solves moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses
• Works with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks
  
  

• Advanced experience in SSIS, SQL Server
• Intermediate experience in TWS Job Scheduling
