The Role

As a Frontend Developer at Ripik.AI, you'll build the interfaces that turn real-time AI into decisions people can act on — dashboards used by plant operators every day, CXO views that shape multi-million-dollar decisions, and workflows that make heavy-industry teams faster and safer.

You'll work in React.js and modern frontend tooling, partner with backend engineers, designers, and product to ship features end-to-end, and care deeply about the details — performance, accessibility, loading states, empty states, and the feel of every interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Build production frontend features in React.js — from wireframes and design specs to shipped code that runs 24/7 in customer plants.
• Write clean, testable, maintainable code — components that other engineers can read, extend, and trust.
• Partner with backend engineers on REST API contracts — versioning, error handling, loading and empty states, and edge cases.
• Collaborate with designers on interaction, layout, and visual polish — you care about the difference between a shipped product and a designed product.
• Own the details — responsiveness, accessibility, performance, error handling, and the small interactions that make users trust the product.
• Debug production issues on live customer deployments — trace the bug from symptom to root cause, ship the fix, and prevent recurrence.
• Contribute to the design system — reusable components, patterns, and standards that future engineers and products build on.
• Grow with the team — take feedback in code review, learn from senior engineers, and raise your craft steadily over time.
  
  

• 1–5 years of hands-on frontend engineering experience.
• Strong React.js — hooks, component design, state management, rendering behaviour.
• Solid JavaScript fundamentals — modern ES6+, async/await, promises, closures.
• Strong HTML and CSS — semantic markup, flexbox, grid, responsive design, accessibility basics.
• Comfortable working with REST APIs — request/response, error handling, loading and empty states.
• Familiarity with modern frontend tooling — Vite, Webpack, npm/yarn, Git.
• Design sensibility — you notice the difference between good and great UI.
• Ownership mindset — you don't wait for tickets. You see a bug, you fix it. You see a gap, you flag it.

• TypeScript experience — strong types, generics, and comfortable refactoring untyped code into typed.
• State management libraries — Redux, Zustand, React Query, or similar.
• Data visualisation experience — Recharts, D3, Chart.js, or comparable libraries for real-time dashboards.
• Testing frameworks — Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Design tool fluency — Figma, working closely with designers on specs, prototypes, and design systems.
• Performance optimisation — code-splitting, lazy loading, memoisation, bundle analysis.
• Open-source contributions or a public portfolio of frontend projects we can look at.
• Exposure to AI/ML products — building interfaces for chat, agents, data exploration, or real-time streams.
