Safety Officer 12N25

As a Safety Officer in the 12N25 role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and hazard-free environment within your assigned area. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety protocols and procedures that align with governmental regulations and the organization's standards. Your expertise will guide the identification of potential workplace hazards and the creation of strong contingency plans to mitigate risks. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures according to regulations and standards.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace.
• Lead safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Monitor workplace operations to ensure adherence to safety policies and regulations.
• Prepare and maintain reports documenting safety inspections and violation incidents.

• Stay updated with latest safety legislation, codes, and best practices in the industry.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a safety officer role or similar position within the industry.
• Strong knowledge of safety legislation, regulations, and compliance standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to identify and rectify safety breaches effectively.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for training and reporting purposes.
• Certifications such as OSHA, NEBOSH, or relevant safety management credentials desired.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in high-pressure situations.
