Job Description

The Housekeeping Supervisor is a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in a facility, ensuring that the highest standards of hygiene and tidiness are met. This individual will oversee a team of housekeeping staff, providing guidance and support to achieve optimal performance. A Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for creating a positive and efficient working environment, motivating and training staff, and allocating tasks appropriately. Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of the housekeeping team daily.
  • Inspect areas to ensure cleaning standards and protocols are met consistently.
  • Develop and implement training programs for housekeeping staff and new hires.
  • Allocate tasks to housekeeping staff and ensure timely completion of duties.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies to maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Coordinate with other departments to schedule cleaning activities effectively.
  • Investigate and resolve any complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly.
  • Ensure all equipment is operated safely and maintained in good working condition.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and guidance to staff.
  • Maintain records of cleaning activities, schedules, and staff attendance.
  • Develop and implement policies to enhance cleanliness and sanitation procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations at all times.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a housekeeping role, with leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to quality standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Solid knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and best practices.
  • Ability to handle complaints professionally and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Proficiency in managing housekeeping schedules and maintaining records accurately.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
