Job Description

As a Guest Service Agent, you play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional service experience for all guests at our establishment. You are the face of the hotel and the first point of contact for guests, responsible for providing a welcoming environment and assisting guests with all their needs during their stay. Your primary responsibilities include checking guests in and out, answering inquiries, managing reservations, and responding promptly to any issues or requests that arise. An ideal candidate will be friendly, professional, and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Your ability to work collaboratively within a team and handle a variety of tasks efficiently will contribute significantly to our guest satisfaction and operational success.


Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and provide them with a positive first impression.
  • Assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures effectively and efficiently.
  • Manage and update guest reservations, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Respond to guests' inquiries and provide accurate information about services and amenities.
  • Address and resolve any guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to fulfill guest requests.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby area.
  • Process guest payments and provide receipts or confirmations when necessary.
  • Answer phone calls and forward or address them as appropriate.
  • Provide assistance with concierge services such as booking tours or making reservations.
  • Monitor lobby area to ensure it is well-presented and guest needs are met.
  • Maintain and update records of guests and room availability as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Proficiency in using computers and hotel reservation systems.
  • A friendly, approachable demeanor with a professional appearance is necessary.
