Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant responsible for managing overall accounting operations, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. The role requires strong expertise in Income Tax, GST, TDS, bank reconciliation, and demonstrated experience in preparation and finalization of financial statements including balance sheet and profit & loss account. The candidate should possess strong analytical abilities, sound knowledge of accounting principles, and hands-on experience in handling statutory and audit requirements. Candidates with CA Inter / CA attempt or equivalent experience will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Management

• Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure proper recording of all financial transactions.
• Manage general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of accounts.
• Prepare financial reports and MIS statements for management review.
  
  

• Perform periodic bank reconciliation statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor bank transactions, payments, and receipts for accuracy.
• Coordinate with banks for clarifications and documentation related to transactions.
  
  

• Prepare income tax computations and assist in filing income tax returns.
• Ensure compliance with applicable income tax laws and regulations.
• Handle tax assessments, notices, and coordination with tax consultants.
• Maintain proper records and documentation for tax purposes.
  
  

• Preparation and filing of GST returns including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and annual returns.
• Reconciliation of GST input tax credit with purchase and sales records.
• Ensure correct GST accounting and classification of transactions.
• Handle GST audits, reconciliations, and departmental queries.
  
  

• Deduct, deposit, and reconcile TDS as per statutory requirements.
• Prepare and file quarterly TDS returns within deadlines.
• Issue TDS certificates and resolve discrepancies if any.
• Ensure compliance with TDS provisions under Income Tax Act.
  
  

• Assist in preparation and finalization of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Account.
• Prepare schedules and supporting statements for financial closing.
• Coordinate with auditors during statutory and internal audits.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
  
  

• Provide required data and schedules for statutory and tax audits.
• Ensure adherence to financial policies and statutory regulations.
• Support implementation of effective accounting and compliance processes.
