Job Description

As a Junior Quality Surveyor, you will be an integral part of our project management team, providing essential services in cost estimation, project monitoring, and contract management. You will assist senior quality surveyors in ensuring that all projects are completed within budgetary constraints and in compliance with legal standards and quality expectations. Your role will involve gathering insights, preparing detailed reports, and contributing to the decision-making processes. Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing cost estimates and ensuring projects remain within budgetary constraints.
  • Support the preparation and management of tender documents and contracts.
  • Conduct site visits to collect data and verify project progress and quality standards.
  • Assist in the assessment and approval of contractor invoices and progress payments.
  • Work closely with senior quality surveyors to develop comprehensive project reports.
  • Participate in risk management activities and propose solutions to mitigate potential project risks.
  • Assist in performing measurements and valuations for construction work sections.
  • Maintain records and files for all project-related documentation, ensuring data is kept up to date.
  • Communicate with project managers and stakeholders to align on project goals and expectations.
  • Investigate variances and contribute to the resolution of any discrepancies found.
  • Contribute to the improvement of quality control processes and procedures within the department.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and practices to enhance professional development and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field is required.
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail for error-free estimations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and relevant construction software applications.
  • Foundational understanding of construction processes, materials, and project management principles.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
  • Willingness to travel to various project sites when necessary.
