Overview

We are seeking a Engineer II - Software Development with expertise in Java, Microservices architecture, API development, and database technologies (Oracle/PostgreSQL) to design, develop, and manage robust database-driven applications. This role involves working with Java-based frameworks, cloud environments, and database technologies to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in full-stack development, strong problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to lead complex projects.

Application Development

• Design, develop, and maintain applications leveraging Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
• Experience with Spring Framework (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data, Spring Cloud).
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs for seamless integration between services.
• Develop and implement database schemas (Oracle & PostgreSQL), ensuring data integrity and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in multithreading, concurrency, and JVM internals.
• Familiarity with securing Java applications using OAuth, JWT, SSL/TLS, and other security protocols.
  
  

• Collaborate with application architects and business analysts to design and integrate Java-based solutions with databases and external systems.
• Ensure seamless integration between Oracle/PostgreSQL databases and front-end/middleware applications.
  
  

• Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and performance tests for Java-based applications.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for application designs, database schemas, and system workflows.
  
  

• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot framework.
• Strong understanding of Microservices architecture and RESTful API development.
• Experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, including SQL tuning and optimization.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  
  

• Hands-on experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong grasp of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices.
  
  

• Knowledge of message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Understanding of middleware technologies and APIs for database interaction.
  
  

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Exposure to DevOps practices and tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
