Android Developer Senior

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly experienced Android Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance Android applications. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of hands-on experience in Android development, with strong proficiency in Java and a deep understanding of the Android ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Java code.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify bottlenecks, fix bugs, and improve application performance.
• Maintain code quality through code reviews, best practices, and automated testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Work with outside data sources and APIs.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  
  

Required Skills And Experience

• 8+ years of experience in Android development with a strong command of Java.
• Deep understanding of the Android SDK and different Android versions.
• Experience with designing responsive UIs that support various screen sizes and densities.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration of Android apps with backend services.
• Strong grasp of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with offline storage solutions, threading, and performance tuning.
• Ability to design applications using natural user interfaces such as touch gestures.
• Familiarity with device sensors like gyroscopes and accelerometers.
• Knowledge of open-source Android libraries and tools for common development tasks (e.g., Retrofit, Glide, Dagger/Hilt, Room, Jetpack components).
• Understanding of modern Android architecture components (MVVM, LiveData, ViewModel, etc.).
• Experience with version control systems like Git.

• Experience with Kotlin.
• Familiarity with Jetpack Compose, Dagger/Hilt, and other modern libraries/frameworks commonly used..
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools (e.g., Espresso, JUnit).
