Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Specific Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

Data Operations

  • Responsibility for the collection of data on a timely basis from internal and external parties and that issues are appropriately escalated.
  • Liaise with internal and external providers, build relations, and provide them with support/guidance.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure the highest data quality possible and constantly look to improve collection efficiency and accuracy.
  • Responsibility for the upload/entering of the collected data into the relevant system, making initial checks of the data for omissions and initial accuracy and liaise with data provider to resolve issues.
  • Provide first review of uploaded data and take necessary steps to resolve issues identified.
  • Follow processes/workflows to pass the data through internal review and approval.
  • Ensure data is collected, reviewed, and approved within internal deadlines and escalate issues.
  • Promote the benefits and importance of data governance and ensure it is at the forefront of all processes.

Systems and Processes

  • Support the implementation of new systems and processes, including data collection, testing and supporting the roll out
  • Act as a systems and processes “Champion, maintaining a strong knowledge of key business systems and processes and promoting their use and benefits across the business.
  • Using and developing dashboards, reports and processes to actively monitor the accuracy and completeness of data entered in the systems by the wider Real Estate team. Liaise with stakeholders to remedy omissions or incorrect data.
  • Where required, support the administration of key systems and training of internal and external users.
  • Support the timely and accurate preparation and upload of periodic workflows tasks.
  • Constantly provide feedback / suggestions to improve the use of systems and processes.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in Finance, Surveying or other business related discipline preferred

Experience Required

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in high quality, global capital markets, investment management or real estate firms with expertise in Finance or Operations
  • Experience of the collection, review and management of data with a strong focus on process and working to deadlines
  • Prior experience with an alternative asset manager preferred
  • Experience of real estate or investment management systems preferred
  • Experience or strong understanding of data operations

General Requirements

  • Experience of using enterprise and workflow systems
  • Familiarity with institutional real estate investment and an understanding of the associated data points would be an advantage
  • Experience of building and managing internal and external relationships
  • A self-directed individual with a can-do attitude, willing to work in an energetic, collaborative, and fast-paced environment, proactive in nature, and a proven ability to resolve issues with minimal supervision
  • Proven outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with a friendly and respectful approach that is also confident and tenacious.
  • Strong Excel skills
  • A hands-on approach
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and competing demands
  • High accuracy and detail orientation
  • Good judgment in terms of escalating issues vs. solving problems independently
  • A solutions-oriented, self-starter and ability to see the big picture

  • Ability to be flexible in terms of hours in order to coordinate with team members across various time zones
  • An analytical mind and a passion/interest in bringing new ideas to increase efficiency of existing processes
  • Dependable, great attitude, highly motivated and a team player
