As an Advanced Application Engr -Solution Architect Leader – Datacenter Vertical for Honeywell’s Building Automation (BA) business in India, you will champion exponential growth by architecting and executing vertical-specific strategies that align with global and regional priorities. This pivotal role demands visionary leadership to unify cross-regional teams, disrupt market norms and solidify Honeywell’s dominance in your assigned vertical. Reporting to the Engineering Leader, you will operate at the intersection of innovation, engineering and execution, driving multimillion-dollar contracts, vision workshops with customers and create differentiation for BA in the market. Based in India, a strategic location near key decision-makers, you will redefine industry standards while delivering Honeywell’s full BA portfolio (Fire, Security, BMS) through tailored, customer-centric data center solutions.
This individual needs to be a true hunter capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with key influencers and stakeholders at engineering and execution function executive levels of major end users. You will be a liaison with engineering, general contracting and other project influencers to understand the engineering and solution scope and help educate to ensure all applicable Honeywell products are included in the specification meeting and exceeding the customers’ requirements.
Responsibilities
Strategic Business Growth
Develop relationships with key stakeholders by educating and acting as a consultant to increase consideration, position specification, and adoption of Honeywell technology and solutions
Develop C-level relationships of engineering within 20+ key end users that see you as the "trusted partner" for all data center solutions
Partner with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Product, Sales) to deliver integrated solutions that boost customer ROI and dominate market share.
Forge and sustain strategic alliances with specifiers, end-users, contractors and OEMs, positioning Honeywell as the unrivalled choice in building automation.
Actively participate in local, regional, and national trade associations to further educate stakeholders on these technologies
Sponsor and present educational sessions as a subject matter expert (SME)
Be a partner to complete Honeywell BA businesses that share and can support joint efforts within data center Market end users
Develop strategic sales target acquisition plans to expand Honeywell BA portfolio
Determine best go-to-channel strategy providing the greatest value for the customer based on product portfolio and scope of work
Provide input on market conditions, competitor strategies, and industry trends
Work with marketing to develop sales kits, product collateral, and campaigns
Market Leadership
Anticipate industry trends and competitor moves, leveraging insights to pioneer disruptive innovations and stay ahead of market shifts.
Cultivate partnerships with industry titans and stakeholders, creating multi-year revenue streams and expanding Honeywell’s influence in high-growth sectors.
Translate customer feedback into actionable R&D and marketing strategies, ensuring Honeywell’s solutions redefine market expectations.
Team Leadership
Build and mentor a high-octane cross functional engineering team, fostering a culture of relentless execution, collaboration and accountability.
Equip teams with cutting-edge tools, training and resources to deliver best-in-class customer experience.
Set aggressive KPIs, conduct rigorous performance reviews and drive consistent overachievement against AOP goals.
Develop future-ready sellers capable of navigating complex challenges and scaling Honeywell’s impact globally.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
10+ years in engineering, solution architect development with a proven record
3+ years leading high-performing teams in matrixed, global organizations
Any data center certification is preferred, Uptime, CDCP etc.
Willingness to travel 50%+, including international assignments.
