About the team:

We are looking for Senior Technical Architect to be based at our Mangalore office in India.

Join our dynamic team as Senior Technical Architect where youll be at the forefront of pioneering advancements in software development.

Facility & Energy management is rapidly emerging as the cornerstone of a sustainable and efficient future. With our large product portfolio, we integrate advanced technologies like IoT sensors to AI-driven analytics to help facilities optimize energy consumption, reduce cost and enhance operational efficiency.

In this role you will be part of a highly efficient development organization. Responsible for designing and overseeing implementation of comprehensive plans and strategies. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, designers and architects, to ensure alignment. Additionally, mentor junior engineers, fostering their growth and ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.

Senior Technical Architects are strategic thinkers who design and implement IT strategies to align with business goals. They bridge the gap between technology and corporate objectives, ensuring efficient and innovative solutions for organisational growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Foster Systems Thinking: See the big picture across platforms, processes, and teams; identify dependencies, integration points, and opportunities for simplification
  • Architectural Leadership: Guide and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority. Create alignment around architectural principles and standards
  • Technology Evaluation & Guidance: Assess emerging technologies, cloud services, and platforms. Provide clear recommendations on when to standardize and when to experiment
  • Visualization & Storytelling: Communicate complex architectural concepts through diagrams, narratives, and presentations tailored to diverse audiences—from developers to executives
  • Governance & Principles: Define and uphold architectural guidelines, balancing agility with long-term sustainability

Your workday, your tasks and mandatory skill set:

  • Strong communicator of technical concepts, who can operate confidently from the boardroom to the whiteboard
  • Proven experience with enterprise-scale systems, integration patterns, and cloud architectures
  • Proficiency across diverse technical concepts and awareness of emerging trends
  • Capability to analyse complex systems and anticipate future trends
  • Ability to recognize and apply architecture and design patterns in practical contexts
  • Skilled at consensus building, and influencing without authority
  • Strategic thinker with a pragmatic mindset—able to balance innovation with business value
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in complex environments
  • Proficiency in a wide range of technical areas, including:
  • Cloud technologies
  • Infrastructure design
  • Digital transformation
  • Software development (C#, Java, Angular, React, SQL, NoSQL etc.)
  • System architecture
  • Well versed with emerging technologies

Required Skills:

  • A bachelor’s or masters degree in computer science, Information Technology, or any relevant stream.
  • Overall 12+ years of progressive software development experience with at least 3 years of expertise as an Enterprise Architect or Business leader, overseeing architecture plans and decisions, as well as governance.
  • Contributed to the transition of legacy software products to cutting-edge technologies.
  • Designed boilerplate templates/frameworks for core modules in SAAS products, ensuring security, logging, and debugging functionalities.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one modern programming language.
  • Hands-on experience with C# and .NET is huge plus.
  • Ability to collaborate with development teams to build Proof of Concepts in high-risk areas to de-risk architecture.
