Production Supervisor - Polish

The Production Supervisor - Polish is responsible for supervising day-to-day polishing operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are achieved. The role oversees all polishing processes, including staining, sanding, coating, spray painting, finishing, and inspection, while ensuring efficient manpower utilization, process compliance, and optimal material consumption. The incumbent will work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, PPC, and Warehouse teams to maintain smooth operations and continuous improvement

Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily polishing operations to achieve production targets while maintaining quality and delivery schedules.
• Ensure compliance with approved production processes, SOPs, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Monitor product quality and implement corrective actions to minimize defects, rework, and material wastage.
• Plan and allocate manpower efficiently to maximize productivity and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, PPC, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth workflow.
• Monitor production progress, maintain shift records, and report production performance to management.
• Ensure optimum utilization of machinery, equipment, paints, and other polishing consumables.
• Lead, coach, and develop production operators to improve performance and maintain discipline on the shop floor

DAE in Chemical or Mechanical

5 - 6 years of relevant experience in the Polish/Paint department of a reputable furniture manufacturing company

Hands-on knowledge of wood finishing, spray painting, PU/NC/UV coating systems, sanding, and polishing processes. Understanding of paint materials, finishing chemicals, color matching, and surface preparation techniques
