Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure to achieve reduction in downtime on account of machine automation and electrical
• Conduct, monitor and analyse the condition of machine/equipment based on failures and deviations in various parameters to carry out predictive/preventive maintenance by utilizing equipment/machine downtime
• Implement modification in Hardware / Software related to CAPA for minimizing repeated failures
• Conduct condition-based maintenance along with the mechanical and electrical works
• Analyze data from available log books/SCADA systems and accordingly prioritize line of actions for mitigation
• Conduct root cause analysis for repeated failures and implement CAPA
• Ensure availability of critical spares in ready to use condition to maintain plant up-time
• Adhere to electrical safety guidelines at all times
• Ensure smooth functioning of Gel room, HCM, PFD and Utility equipment w.r.t automation
• Ensure smooth operation of control systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA) VFD, SERVO DRIVES & controlling parameters as per norms
• Support and Close Coordination with shift Incharge Mechanical and electricals and ensure minimum breakdown on account of HCM online
• Calibration & Verification
• Ensure calibration and verification of all listed equipment as per calibration calendar
• Maintain documentation related to calibration and verification activities such as history cards, calibration certificates and traceability certificates
• Compliance to regulatory and statutory norms
• Review mechanism to be followed to ensure equipment status wrt calibration activities
• Develop alternate vendor development & risk assessments in order to mitigate risk and adhere to compliance
• Plan and execute capacity expansion and other improvement projects in the facility wrt to automation
• Plan, execute and ensure adherence to project tracker/planner for various improvement projects as per budget and schedule
• Coordinate with consultants/internal SMEs for designing systems wherever required
• Support other user functions in execution of their departmental projects
• Energy Conservation
• Ensure implementation of various energy saving projects to achieve budgeted ECR
• Monitor, plan and execute energy cost reduction activities to achieve budgeted energy cost
• Cost optimization
• Ensure reduction in spares consumption
• Ensure cost optimization in improvement projects with vendor development
• Ensure cost optimization in calibration and verification activities
