Your Team

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Team lead is responsible for providing in-depth support to the business through budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis of expenses, revenues, and Assets Under Management (AUM).

You will work closely with FP&A counterparts to identify the financial drivers impacting business performance and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

The role also entails monitoring daily and monthly deadlines, managing client relationships, and leading training and transformation projects aimed at process simplification, standardization, and automation.

Your Role

  • Analyze actuals, budgets, and forecasts in alignment with business requirements, including variance analysis, headcount tracking, and commentary preparation
  • Lead budget planning and forecast adjustments, ensuring accuracy and relevance to business goals
  • Oversee daily reporting activities for US and non-US regions, ensuring timely and accurate delivery as per client expectations
  • Ensure comprehensive daily review of all reports within the team and maintain functional expertise across key reporting areas
  • Independently manage critical projects assigned by stakeholders, ensuring successful execution
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and leadership to identify training needs and resolve operational issues
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, one-on-one meetings, and provide constructive feedback to team members
  • Manage team resources, prioritize tasks, conduct daily huddles, and ensure adherence to SLAs and deadlines
  • Monitor and share productivity and accuracy metrics with leadership and the team
  • Provide guidance and solutions to the team on daily operational challenges
  • Facilitate onboarding and ongoing training for new hires and support training for new stakeholder-driven initiatives
  • Handle client queries independently and ensure timely resolution
  • Communicate potential delays or limitations proactively to relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and enhance processes
  • Address and resolve onsite and offshore queries independently
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support organizational goals for process enhancement.

The Experience You Bring

  • Minimum of 7-8 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), including demonstrated success in people management and team leadership.
  • Technical proficiency in Oracle, Hyperion, Tableau, and Power BI, as well as familiarity with the investment industry, is an added advantage.
  • Proven excellence in organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Strong grasp of accounting and financial principles, with the ability to apply them effectively
  • Skilled at performing under pressure, managing multiple responsibilities, and meeting tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated and proactive, while also being a collaborative team player
  • Capable of managing concurrent projects, delegating tasks, setting priorities, and ensuring timely delivery
  • Proficient in using computer systems and applications, particularly Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrates strong leadership qualities and the ability to guide and inspire teams
  • Committed to achieving high standards through effective execution
  • Fosters a culture of collaboration and teamwork
  • Encourages innovation and continuous improvement

Academic Requirements

  • A bachelors degree or Post Graduation in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • Excellent communication, excel and presentation skills.
