Software Engineering Senior Analyst

Position Overview

The job profile for this position is Software Engineering Senior Analyst, which is a Band 3 Contributor Career Track Role.

Cigna, a leading Health Services company, is looking for an exceptional Full Stack Software Engineer in our Core Systems Organization. In this role you will be coding, testing and deploying .Net application logic connecting to a variety of technologies.

In this role you will have the unique opportunity to design, develop, and deploy applications and features that will directly impact Cignas bottom line, ultimately providing better and more affordable healthcare for our customers. Our team uses a variety of technologies including the latest web frameworks and mainframe. You will have the opportunity to build state-of-the-art technology that is scalable and robust, utilizing cloud infrastructure, and full automation. Responsibilities

• Support scrum team by coding, testing and implementing solutions that support business needs
• Integrate both custom developed and package based solutions on prem/cloud environment
• Support production implementation activities including advanced troubleshooting and application debugging
  
  

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with peers within and outside of the immediate scrum team
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders: Business projects owners and managers, Quality Engineering leads, service operations
• Familiarity with agile methodology and working within a scrum team environment
• Familiarity with modern delivery practices such as continuous integration, behavior/test driven development, and specification by example.
• Strong analytical abilities and able to bring new thought process with different perspectives to collaborate and grow with team.
  
  

Required Experience & Education

• Experience on an Agile team using Scrum or Kanban
• Experience in the following:
• 3-5 years experience in Core Skills: Full stack .Net programming, Backend development in SQL/PLSQL
• Exposure to KAFKA, Openshift and any modern messaging technologies and idea on how to integrate those systems in application development
• Exposure to US Healthcare system and their business concepts
• Facets product knowledge on any one or more of the key modules like claims/membership/provider will be considered a strong asset
• Preferred to have at least 3+ years of experience in Secondary Skills:
• Test Driven Design (TDD) and unit testing as part of software development
• CI/CD environment (Jenkins/Ansible experience a plus)
• TFS/Git version control software
• Web and client server technologies including Angular, other Node.js systems, Java, JavaScript, Python and Object-Oriented languages, RESTful/API services, micro-services
