Job Role: Purchase Manager – Electrical & Civil

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end procurement of electrical materials, equipment, and services for construction, infrastructure, industrial, and project-based requirements.
• Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers and prepare comparative statements.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and commercial conditions.
• Issue purchase orders and ensure compliance with approved specifications and commercial terms.
• Coordinate with project, engineering, stores, and accounts teams for procurement requirements.
• Monitor material availability, quality, delivery schedules, and overall procurement costs.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials as per project requirements.
• Maintain proper purchase records, vendor documents, quotations, and purchase orders.
• Support cost-control initiatives and identify opportunities for better pricing and procurement efficiency.
  
  

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Additional qualification in Purchase / Procurement / Supply Chain Management is an advantage.
• 5–10+ years of experience in electrical procurement / purchase.
• Strong knowledge of electrical materials, brands, specifications, and market pricing.
• Good vendor management and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/SAP, purchase management systems, and documentation.
• Good communication, coordination, analytical, and decision-making skills.
