Job Role: Mechanical Engineering Manager

Job Description

• Lead manufacturing and assembly of high-precision aerospace motors, including BLDC, AC, DC, servo motors, actuators, and high-speed rotating systems.
• Manage complete electro-mechanical assembly and integration of motors, controllers, harnesses, and sensors.
• Ensure precision in rotor-stator alignment, dynamic balancing, bearing selection, winding, insulation, and varnishing processes.
• Monitor critical parameters such as runout, concentricity, vibration, thermal expansion, heat dissipation, noise, and performance stability.
• Lead aerospace New Product Introduction (NPI) programs from design transfer and prototyping through EVT, DVT, PVT, and mass production.
• Drive DFM/DFA optimization, manufacturing readiness reviews, DFMEA/PFMEA, process flow diagrams, control plans, and work instructions.
• Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and critical-to-function requirements.
• Work with Creo, NX, SolidWorks, and other CAD tools to identify manufacturability and assembly risks.
• Lead engineering change management through ECR/ECO processes.
• Design and validate assembly fixtures, coil winding fixtures, rotor balancing setups, pneumatic/hydraulic tools, and automated assembly stations.
• Implement poka-yoke, repeatability improvements, precision controls, and cycle-time reduction initiatives.
• Lead FAIR execution as per AS9102 and ensure compliance with AS9100 and other aerospace quality requirements.
• Drive APQP, PPAP, special process controls, root cause analysis, 8D, Fishbone, 5 Why, and failure investigations.
• Conduct supplier capability assessments, process audits, component validation, and technical issue resolution.
• Travel to supplier and customer locations for audits, qualification activities, troubleshooting, and technical support.
• Handle customer escalations and provide on-site technical resolution for assembly and manufacturing issues.
• Lead cross-functional teams comprising Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineers.
• Provide technical mentoring, capability building, and performance management for engineering teams.
• Establish strong engineering governance, structured problem-solving practices, and manufacturing excellence.
