Job Role: Core Maintenance Utilities Engineer

Job Description

• Manage assets, materials, and contracts for the Core Maintenance Point (CMP).
• Monitor fiber network performance against defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Support Operations & Maintenance (O&M) activities for infrastructure and access electronics.
• Monitor utility equipment performance against defined SLAs.
• Ensure maximum uptime of utility equipment and network facilities.
• Ensure adequate availability of materials in CMP warehouses for uninterrupted fiber operations.
• Carry out Level 2 rectification of utility equipment.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance of utility equipment.
• Support installation and commissioning of optical equipment.
• Monitor energy utilization and identify opportunities for energy optimization.
• Ensure compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, Environment, and Fire (QHSEF) policies.
• Maintain fiber network quality and ensure adherence to quality standards during fault restoration activities.
• Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to resolve technical and operational issues.
• Monitor maintenance activities and ensure timely resolution of equipment and network faults.
  
  

• Installation and commissioning of optical equipment.
• Knowledge of fiber network operations and maintenance.
• Knowledge of utility equipment and maintenance practices.
• Understanding of energy optimization.
• Knowledge of QHSEF policies and safety standards.
• Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
• Good collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  
  

• B.E. in ENTC, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Electrical & Telecommunication.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in core maintenance, utilities, telecom infrastructure, or network operations is preferred.
• Ability to manage maintenance activities, assets, materials, and technical operations.
