We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist.

In this role, you will:

• Design and engineer software with the customer/user experience as a key objective
• Actively contributes to Technology Engineering Practice by sharing Subject Matter Expertise from their area of specialism, best practice and learnings
• Drives adherence to all standards and policies within their area of Technology Engineering.
• Delivery and support of data related infrastructure and architecture to optimise data storage and consumption across the bank, including addressing functional and non-functional requirements relevant to data in large applications.
• Design and develop applications for internal and external users focussing on the interface and front-end usability of the application
• Engineer and implement security measures for the protection of internal and external systems, networks, products and services.
• Establish a digital environment and automate processes to minimize variation and ensure predictable high quality code and data.
• Provide support in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the IT service, as directed by leadership of the DevOps team.
• Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered.
• Keep up to date and have expertise on current tools, technologies and areas like cyber security and regulations pertaining to aspects like data privacy, consent, data residency etc. that are applicable
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant controls and standards.
  
  

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Experience working in a global, corporate environment
• Expertise in complete software development life cycle process which includes requirements analysis, design, development, testing, Implementation, maintenance and support.
• Hands on work experience on Java, J2ee, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring JDBC, Spring Batch, Spring MVC and Hibernate, Rest API and Micro services.
• Good exposure on tools including JIRA, Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus IQ and Checkmarx, Splunk, elk and Grafana
• Build and managing application deployments using Jenkin CI/CD pipeline and groovy scripting.
• Experience in building Docker container images and managing the deployments through Helm charts in kubernetes environments
• Good exposure of version control tools like CVS, SVN, TFS and Git.
• Good exposure to Test Drive Development, using JUnit Framework
• Experience in working with Web Sphere application servers.
• Experience of SQL and PL/SQL (Cursors, Packages, Procedures and Functions) on Postgres and Oracle.
• Leading and mentoring developers in achieving project time lines and help them to produce quality code based standards and providing technical solutions to critical issues.
• Responsible for team member code reviews, provided guidelines, and followed SDLC for the life cycle of the project
• Passionate about new technologies/innovations happening around. Constantly upgrades knowledge on latest technologies and standards
• Provides high level work estimates and assists in task planning & task allocation.
• Self-motivated, adaptive to team environment able to work under pressure and complete complex tasks independently as well as in team.
• Exposure to Apache Beam and Apache Flink.
• Exposure to Websphere/MQ
