A Day in the Life

As a CIAM Specialist, you will be a key member of the Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) team and be one member of the group responsible for technical operations, implementation, management, and support for our CIAM systems deployed within the organization. This position provides technical solutions for issues primarily in Okta (Customer Identity Solution or Customer Identity Cloud), SiteMinder and Layer7 API gateway, including, but not limited to authentication, single sign-on, multi factor authentication, responsible for operational fitness of the system(s) through support, monitoring, and response.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Technical Operations
    • Operate, manage, and support CIAM systems
    • Provide support for issues ranging from moderate to high complexity for CIAM systems and related system integration
    • Ensure system availability, capacity, and performance including ownership for logging, monitoring, and alerting standards, processes, and systems
    • Research and escalate open issues or recurring problems with applications/systems to determine root causes and resolutions
    • Manage and improve technical documents for system operations and support
    • Participate in projects across the team to deliver new technologies, process improvements, and business value
    • Maintain current, relevant industry knowledge to understand evolutions and advancements in the marketplace which could bring value to the team or the company
    • Other responsibilities as assigned


Must Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree
  • University degree
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, quick learner with motivation for personal development
  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to details and commitment to quality


Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience and strong knowledge of IT Security or Identity & Access Management
  • High degree of ‘learning agility’ with the ability to readily consume and apply new information and concepts with developed analytical problem-solving / problem management skills
  • Comfortable working with geographically distributed teams and in a virtual organization
  • Strong decision-making skills and results orientation (driving to deadlines, project goals, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Experience with development of applications and software design
  • Experience with one or more of these technologies: Okta, Auth0, Java, JavaScript, React, Layer7
