Job Role: CNC Turning Operator / CNC Milling Operator

Job Description

CNC Turning Operator:

• Operate CNC Turning machines to manufacture precision aerospace and defence components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and process specifications.
• Perform tool offset corrections and ensure accurate machining.
• Conduct in-process inspection using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, and Height Gauge.
• Maintain required machining tolerances and product quality.
• Select and handle appropriate cutting tools for machining operations.
• Monitor machine performance and report abnormalities or breakdowns immediately.
• Maintain productivity, workplace safety, and 5S standards.
• Follow all quality and safety procedures during machining operations.
  
  

• Operate 3, 4, and 5 Axis CNC Milling machines for precision aerospace components.
• Load and set fixtures, tools, and workpieces correctly.
• Perform tool changes and tool offset adjustments.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and process sheets.
• Conduct in-process inspection to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Understand machining tolerances and basic GD&T requirements.
• Use appropriate cutting tools and machining parameters.
• Maintain machine cleanliness, safety, and 5S standards.
• Report machine abnormalities and quality issues to the supervisor.

• Precision Measuring Instruments
• Machining Tolerances
• Cutting Tools
• 3 / 4 / 5 Axis Machining
• Drawing Interpretation
• GD&T knowledge is preferred
  
  

• ITI in Turner / Machinist / Fitter
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  
  

• 1–5 years of experience in Aerospace, Defence, or Precision Manufacturing.
