Job Role: CAD Engineer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and modify detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or CATIA.
• Translate concepts, sketches, and specifications into accurate technical drawings.
• Perform assembly checks and clash detection to identify and resolve design issues.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards such as ASME and ISO.
• Conduct basic tolerance analysis and optimize designs for manufacturability.
• Prepare and maintain design documentation and engineering drawings.
• Create and maintain BOMs (Bill of Materials).
• Support prototyping and manufacturing activities by providing required drawings and revisions.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure design requirements are met.
• Review designs for accuracy, functionality, and compliance with project specifications.
  
  

• Bachelor's degree / Post Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of professional experience as a CAD Engineer or Designer.
• Strong proficiency in one or more CAD tools: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or CATIA.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Good knowledge of 2D drafting and 3D modelling.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  
  

• Experience in industries such as automotive, FMCG, consumer electronics, or manufacturing.
• Certification in CAD software or a related field.
• Experience with product development, prototyping, and manufacturing processes.
