Job Description:

• The Power BI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data visualization solutions that provide business teams with actionable insights by analysing internal and external datasets. This role requires expertise in Power BI, DAX, and Power Query, as well as a strong understanding of data modelling, transformation, and visualization techniques. The ideal candidate will have experience in data analytics, business intelligence, and reporting, leveraging ETL processes and Azure data engineering tools to support business decision-making. They must demonstrate the ability to translate complex data into intuitive dashboards, ensuring stakeholders can efficiently interpret and act on insights. A problem-solving mindset and passion for data-driven decision-making are key, as the Power BI Developer will work closely with business teams to identify analytical needs, optimize reporting, and improve business outcomes through data storytelling.
  
  

• Develop, implement, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to model complex business problems, uncover insights, and identify improvement opportunities using data visualization and analytical techniques.
• Design and build the data infrastructure layer on Azure, ensuring efficient data ingestion and transformation to support BI solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, translate business needs into data models, and deliver actionable insights through interactive reports.
• Identify and integrate relevant internal and external data sources, utilizing Power Query and DAX to manipulate and optimize datasets.
• Conduct data analysis, visualization, and storytelling, transforming raw data into meaningful business intelligence.
• Perform benchmarking and market research to stay updated on emerging trends and technological advancements in the BI space.
• Continuously improve existing Power BI solutions by optimizing performance, refining data models, and implementing new features.
• Provide recommendations and insights by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and conducting periodic assessments of data accuracy and effectiveness.
• Train end-users and stakeholders, ensuring effective utilization of Power BI reports and self-service analytics capabilities.
• Conduct predictive analytics and pattern recognition using data science models integrated within Power BI.
• Assist in the design and validation of BI algorithms, ensuring accuracy in data processing and visualization.
• Develop, test, and deploy Power BI solutions using appropriate tools such as DAX, Power Query, SQL, and Python.
  
  

• Strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Certifications in Microsoft Power BI, SQL, Azure Data Fundamentals, or related BI tools are preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on BI product development and optimization.
• Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and advanced data modeling techniques.
• Experience working with large datasets, performing data transformation, and optimizing report performance.
• Hands-on expertise in SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis.
• Knowledge of Azure Data Engineering tools, such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Synapse Analytics.
• Understanding of ETL processes and ability to build scalable data architectures for BI solutions.
• Experience using Power BI Service, managing workspaces, and publishing interactive reports.
• Knowledge of advanced data visualization techniques and experience using Power BI Custom Visuals, D3.js, ggplot, and Charticulator.
• Strong understanding of business intelligence best practices, including KPI tracking, dashboard usability, and report automation.
• Familiarity with machine learning techniques and predictive analytics within Power BI environments.
• Ability to communicate insights effectively across teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives
