The Parts Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the incoming, storage, inventory control, and distribution of spare parts and components across multiple brands and models. This role ensures optimized stock levels of both OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and OES (Original Equipment Supplier) parts, efficient warehouse operations, and timely availability of parts to DriveX’s refurbishment operations as well as aftermarket support and dealer sales. Business horizon covers around maintaining 20K SKUs and serving more than 100 MMVs
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Dispatch: Oversee incoming supplies (verify quantity, quality, brand/model compatibility, and documentation) and outgoing dispatches to internal teams, dealers and customers.
Inventory Control: Maintain accurate records of parts inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet demand from various channels mentioned.
Multi-Brand, Multi-Model Stocking: Stock, and manage OEM and OES parts across multiple vehicle brands and models, ensuring the right part is available for the right make/model to avoid refurbishment delays or mismatches without any over/under stocking.
Refurbishment Support: Align parts availability for refurbishment processes thru a digitally controlled parts issuance control system (A blend of manufacturing and service systems) for a faster turnaround of vehicles from refurbishment/repair bays. Ad hoc requirements are also fulfilled with full agility and accuracy.
Warehouse organization: Design and maintain an efficient storage layout (racking, bin locations, labeling by brand/model/part category) for easy identification and retrieval of parts across a diverse multi-brand and multi model inventory.
Stock Audits: Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits; reconcile discrepancies between system records and physical stock across all brands/models stocked carry out PDCA for gaps.
Team management: Manage warehouse staff — hiring, training, skill development, and performance management.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure warehouse operations comply with safety regulations, handling procedures, and company policies.
Systems Management: Utilize inventory/warehouse management software (WMS/ERP) to track stock movement by brand/model/SKUs, generate reports, and forecast demand. Analyze the data for PDCA and continuous improvement in efficiency and inventory cost.
Cost Control: Monitor and minimize costs related to storage, shrinkage, damage, over/under stocking and obsolete inventory — particularly slow-moving parts for niche brands/models.
Reporting: Provide regular reports to management on inventory levels, brand/model-wise turnover rates, order fulfillment, and operational KPIs.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with refurbishment, service, planning, finance and QC teams to ensure multi- brand parts availability aligns with refurbishment schedules, volumes and company governance systems.
