The Associate Director Placement is responsible for developing strong industry partnerships and ensuring successful internship and final placement opportunities for students across all academic programs. The role involves employer engagement, campus recruitment planning, student career readiness, placement operations, and continuous improvement of placement outcomes in alignment with the university's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Relations & Employer Engagement
Build and maintain long-term relationships with corporate recruiters, startups, multinational companies, and industry partners.
Identify and onboard new recruiters for internships and final placements.
Organize corporate visits, networking meetings, and industry engagement initiatives.
Negotiate and execute MoUs for recruitment, internships, and industry collaborations.
Placement Operations
Plan and execute on-campus, off-campus, and virtual placement drives.
Coordinate pre-placement talks, aptitude tests, group discussions, interviews, and offer management.
Ensure smooth end-to-end execution of recruitment activities.
Track offers, joining status, and placement conversion rates.
Internship Management
Facilitate internship opportunities for students across all disciplines.
Coordinate with industry partners for live projects and experiential learning.
Monitor internship progress and maintain employer feedback records.
Student Career Development
Conduct career counseling sessions.
Organize resume-building workshops, mock interviews, aptitude training, and soft skills programs.
Guide students on career planning, interview preparation, and professional etiquette.
Improve student employability through industry-focused initiatives.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with academic departments for placement planning.
Coordinate with faculty, alumni, and student placement coordinators.
Maintain regular communication with recruiters and students throughout the recruitment process.
Data Management & Reporting
Maintain recruiter databases, placement MIS, and student records.
Prepare placement reports, analytics, and dashboards for university leadership.
Support accreditation requirements (NAAC, NBA, NIRF) through placement data management.
Analyze industry trends and placement performance for continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (mandatory).
Master's degree (MBA/PGDM/Management/HR/Marketing or related field preferred).
Experience in placements, corporate relations, recruitment, business development, or career services.
Experience in higher education institutions is highly preferred.
Required Skills
