Assume overall on-site responsibility for ensuring that commissioning, startup and initial operations advisory services are fully executed.
Review supplied equipment against the Schedule A Package, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, standard specifications and drawings; identify discrepancies and advise on corrective actions that protect startup readiness and unit performance.
Direct the development and implementation of the precommissioning programme, including hydrostatic testing, water flushing, leak testing, pump and compressor run-in, refractory dryout, high-temperature field testing, inspection, catalyst loading and instrument loop checking.
Advise on heater and reactor circuit dryout and on catalyst and/or adsorbent loading activities.
Review and evaluate the startup schedule and recommend improvements to sequencing, readiness and execution.
Provide operating instructions and technical direction to customer operations and engineering personnel for startup, normal operation, shutdown and safe response to emergency situations.
Advise customer engineers and operators during feed introduction, stabilization and the achievement of on-specification products.
Issue daily instructions to shift-working Process Advisors in coordination with the customers operations management team.
Monitor initial operation, recommend adjustments to optimize unit performance and troubleshoot process or hydraulic issues.
Establish process guidelines to line out the unit and prepare it for successful performance testing.
Advise on performance gurantee test run and evaluate results against the process parameters represented during the design phase.
Conduct or support detailed unit studies, including product-yield, catalyst activity and selectivity calculations, and process and hydraulic evaluations, etc.
Establish reliable baseline operating conditions to support future troubleshooting, performance improvement and expansion planning.
Maintain clear communication with customer teams and internal stakeholders, escalating technical, safety or schedule risks as required.
Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with applicable health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
