Job Description

The Hygiene Officer is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation are maintained within an organization. This role is critical in preventing the spread of infections and ensuring safety compliance with health regulations. The Hygiene Officer will work closely with various departments to develop and implement hygiene strategies, conduct regular inspections, and provide training to employees on hygiene best practices. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a profound understanding of sanitation regulations. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement hygiene policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with sanitation standards.
  • Collaborate with department managers to address hygiene-related concerns and queries.
  • Monitor hygiene conditions and report non-compliance issues to relevant authorities.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on hygiene-related protocols.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of inspections and corrective actions.
  • Stay updated on health regulations and implement necessary changes accordingly.
  • Perform risk assessments to identify areas needing improvement in sanitation practices.
  • Coordinate with cleaning teams to ensure thorough and effective cleaning routines.
  • Advise on purchasing hygiene-related supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Investigate and resolve any hygiene-related incidents or complaints promptly.
  • Liaise with health inspectors during routine visits to ensure full compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a hygiene or sanitation role.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills to train and coordinate with staff members.
  • Ability to conduct thorough inspections and compile detailed reports.
  • Proven problem-solving skills to address hygiene-related challenges effectively.
