We are currently seeking a Field Tech Senior Associate - Techroom role to join our team in Chennai, Tamil Nādu (IN-TN), India (IN).

Roles & Responsibilities:

Sound knowledge of general health & safety of devices in Data Centre.

Must have strong knowledge of HP ProLiant\Blade, Oracle and Dell PowerEdge servers

Rack & stack, power & Cable connectivity for Server / network equipment.

Complete device inventory management in data centre.

Understanding of Data Centre environment (Power, Cooling, Security, Processes etc.)

Understanding of LTO media, tape library, media backup and restore.

Basic support - visual checks on the devices, basic troubleshooting like changing cables, SFP replacement, etc.

Rack/stack a new/replacement device or change hot-swappable components.

Hands-on experience on various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).

Understanding of the OSI layer or TCP/IP model and routing protocols.

Vendor / OEM coordination for Network / Server equipment.

Power Load & Consumption Details

Knowledge of CISCO and Avaya platform.

Understanding of PRI and basic enterprise voice setup

Vendor/ISP coordination for PRI related issues.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree from an authorized university.

Relevant server certification will be an added advantage.

Minimum 2-3yrs of exp.

Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Basic understanding of ITIL Framework is a must (SLA, CHG, Problem, and incident mgmt.)

Knowledge on ticketing tool preferrable ServiceNow.

Willingness to work in rotational shifts 24*7 environment.

Travel including overnight domestic may be required.
