ETL Test Architect

Lead the end to end testing process for ETL workflows, data pipelines, and data warehouse solutions.

Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and data engineers to understand data requirements and transformation logic.

Design and develop comprehensive test strategies, test cases, and test data to validate ETL processes.

Perform data validation, reconciliation, and verification between source and target systems.

Implement test automation frameworks for ETL and data validation using tools like Python, PySpark, or SQL based automation.

Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.

Monitor and report test progress, metrics, and quality indicators to stakeholders.

Ensure adherence to best practices, data governance, and compliance standards.

Mentor and guide team members on ETL testing methodologies and tools.

Lead and manage an ETL testing team, providing technical guidance, task allocation, and feedback.Proven experience in ETL and DWH testing including leading testing teams.

Strong expertise in SQL for data validation and complex query writing.

Hands on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, DataStage, Azure Data Factory, or similar.

Proficiency with databases like Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, Teradata, or BigQuery.

Experience with automation frameworks for data testing such as PyTest, Selenium, QuerySurge, and Databricks Notebooks.

Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and ETL workflows.

Familiarity with CI CD pipelines and integration with version control systems such as Git, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.

Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
