What You’ll Be Doing...

Exciting opportunities exist within the Verizon Global Presales Engineering organization. As a Solutions Architect, you will be an integral part of a talented team collaborating with our clients’ on their Digital Transformation. You will play a meaningful role in building long-term business relationships within assigned enterprise accounts. This is a high-impact role working closely with the Sales team and customers to identify and qualify opportunities and design solutions to address customer business challenges.

• You will seek to build deep, consultative technical relationships with your customers, effectively becoming a trusted adviser. An SA is ideally positioned to understand the customers high-level objectives and match these to Verizon solutions in order to satisfy business and technical requirements.
• Assisting in the development, design and implementation of complete solutions based on customer requirements
• Providing provisioning and testing support.
• Driving internal process management through issue support and developing sales representative solutions.
• Providing post-sales support for tech migration.
• Working with Field SAs to create solutions and use cases that leverage Verizon product integrations that generate business value for customers.
• Articulating the Verizon Enterprise vision on technologies and solutions towards the Client; positions Verizon Enterprise as thought leader on key technological developments.
• Leading prioritization of Customer solution / technical requirements and champions resolution of solution / product gaps internally based on customer
• Developing individual skill set and expand product knowledge to maximize value and to deliver quality services to our clients.
  
  

What We’re Looking For...

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Four or more years of relevant work experience.
• Four or more years of experience in the telecom industry, pre-sales, solution design, consulting or other relevant technical experience.
• Experience with architecting infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems.
• Experience with architecting and developing LAN/WAN or large infrastructure and network solutions for enterprise customers.
• Experience with networking concepts including: software defined networking, routing, VPNs, load balancers, and firewalls, cellular networks, LTE, IoT etc
• Knowledge of data and information security - especially as it relates to issues within businesses.
• Experience in two or more of the following areas: Software Defined Networking (SDN), IT infrastructure and systems security, cloud or network systems management, and business continuity.
  
  

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Master’s degree in engineering or computer science.
• Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies and solutions in the cloud/IT technology space.
• Experience in running multiple projects or deals under tight timelines.
• Security, architecture, and industry certifications such as AWS Solution Architect, Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK), CompTIA Security+, Cisco Certified Design or Network Associate, ITIL Foundations, CCIE, CISSP, CCENT, OEM certifications or equivalent.
