Description

Engineering role focused on building Tamil-language assistive AI for farmers, with evaluations, guardrails, and cost discipline from day one. The work centers on a read-only operations copilot, document generation, and safe AI boundaries.

Role: Agentic AI Engineer

Location: Chennai

Experience

• 3–5 years in software
• At least one LLM feature shipped to real users
• Experience with prompt and tool-use design
• Experience with agent loops
• Experience writing and running evaluations and guardrails
• Ability to explain model trade-offs, batching, and caching with a real budget
• Interest in Tamil; reading it is enough to start
• Willingness to sit with farmers and listen to what they actually ask
  
  

Responsibilities

• Own the assist service end to end
• Build Tamil chat help
• Build a read-only operations copilot
• Build document generation
• Build the evaluation and guardrail layer behind the service
• Create an evaluation set of at least a hundred Tamil questions
• Publish a pass rate for the evaluation set
• Run evaluations in the pipeline rather than by hand
• Enforce hard per-user and per-day caps at the gateway
• Set a budget alarm at sixty per cent of the monthly allocation by day fifteen
• Measure voice booking assist with real farmers in Erode before release
• Keep AI out of money, dispatch, and safety paths
• Ensure generated text never contains a number the system did not compute
  
  

Additional Responsibilities

• Ensure AI stays permanently out of every money, dispatch, and safety path
• Prevent the voice booking assist from auto-submitting anything
• Work on a hard language problem with real users
• Sit with farmers and learn what they actually ask
