Job Description

An Account Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the finance and accounting departments of an organization. They assist in the preparation of financial statements, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports.
  • Maintain and update accurate financial records routinely and efficiently.
  • Process invoices, reconcile accounts, and manage accounts payable/receivable.
  • Support the finance team in conducting internal audits and reviews.
  • Help ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and legislation.
  • Assist in preparation and filing of tax documents and submissions.
  • Provide administrative support in handling daily financial operations.
  • Liaise with internal departments to resolve finance-related queries promptly.
  • Assist in preparing cash flow forecasts and budget analysis reports.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial close processing activities.
  • Maintain fixed asset register and perform periodic asset verification.
  • Participate in special financial projects and initiatives as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in an accounting or finance role is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software applications.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective team collaboration work.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new processes and tools.
