PhD Position in Cell Biology and Advanced Microscopy
The Buchmann Institute for Molecular Life Sciences at Goethe University Frankfurt invites applications for a PhD student position focused on investigating the interactions between the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and mitochondria in the regulation of lipid and energy metabolism. The successful candidate will utilize state-of-the-art imaging technologies, including super-resolution microscopy, within a dynamic and interdisciplinary research environment.
Requirements
– A strong interest in cell biology and advanced imaging techniques
– Motivation and curiosity in research related to molecular mechanisms of organelle interaction
– Relevant academic background in one of the eligible fields (e.g., Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Biomedical Sciences)
– Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team
