About The Role
As a trainer the person would be Delivering and planning the training program that helps employees to upscale their technical skills. Work with employees to identify their skill gaps and support them to overcome these gaps through the training program. Mobilize, counsel, and create a training plan for each employee to enable them to realize their skill gap and derive the technical training programs according to organizational requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities
Core Competencies Required:
- Experience in Technical training
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems or similar tools
- Knowledge of Energy Management, HVAC, & Electrical Systems (MEP certification).
- Knowledge of Building Automation systems (BMS)
- Strong Coaching, Feedback & Communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Skill of flexibility and adaptability as per Change management.
- Planning and managing training programs & meet realistic deadlines consistently
Key Result Areas
As a Training Co-Ordinator
- Conduct organization-wide training needs assessment and identifies skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed
- Design and develop training programs
- Map out annual training plans
- Market the available training to employees and provide necessary information about the session
- Select appropriate training methods or activities (e.g., simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training, professional development classes)
- Assess training effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills and KPIs
- Gather feedback from trainers and trainees after each training session
- Maintain updated curriculum database and training records
- Host train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts
- Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment
- Execute training sessions, webinars, workshops, etc. in groups or individually
- Arrange for and conduct on-site training when needed
- Keep and report data on completed courses, absences, issues, etc.
- Observe and evaluate the results of training programs
- Determine the overall effectiveness of programs and make improvements
As a Technical Trainer
- Derive technical training programs according to organizational requirements
- Determine course content according to objectives
- Creates technical training programs according to requirements.
- Prepare training material (training modules, presentations, worksheets, assessments, etc.).
- Evaluates technical employees and identify areas needing improvement
Experience Required
- Must have 3 to 5 years of experience as the technical trainer/training specialist into BMS/HVAC/Electrical/Electronic Domain experience
- Professional technical training certification is preferred
- Customer management and Customer Engagement skills preferred
- Should have worked in the Energy management domain.
- Working with different teams and at different levels.
Educational Qualification
A bachelor’s or associate degree in engineering, or a related field with good communication and presentation skills.
Professional technical training certification and MEP training certificate will add an advantage
